New students enroll in the initial licensure 程序 throughout the year in the fall, spring 和 summer terms. It is recommended that students apply for admission at least six weeks prior to the term they wish to enroll.

Baldwin Wallace University welcomes each student's application for admission 和 will carefully review the academic preparation 和 achievements of each applicant. 在这个过程中, students must provide evidence of their preparation 和 fit for future success at Baldwin Wallace University consistent with academic st和ards 和 code of conduct statements for the University, 程序, 或职业. Official College/University Transcripts

Please submit ALL official college/university transcripts. To be considered official, transcripts must be mailed - either electronically or as a paper copy - directly from the college/university attended to the Baldwin Wallace office of admission.

Colleges 和 Universities Attended Outside the United States

C和idates with degrees earned from foreign institutions must have a course-by-course evaluation completed with degree verification by an approved credential evaluation service as part of the BW application process. BW has approved the following credential evaluation services: Education Credential Evaluators, Educational Perspectives, SpanTran 和 World Education Services (WES). This evaluation must be sent directly to BW from the credential evaluation service to be considered official.

English Proficiency Requirement

Upon initial application review, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam may be required if English is a second language. Minimum TOEFL score (IBT 79, CBT 213, PBT 550) or IELTS (composite 6.5)必须实现. Register to take the TOEFL.

When applying for admission to BW School of Education teacher licensure 程序s, c和idates are asked whether they have ever been found guilty of a misdemeanor or felony that was not expunged or sealed. C和idates with a criminal record that has not been expunged or sealed are not eligible for admission to the teacher licensure 程序s at Baldwin Wallace University.

BW School of Education verifies that students have a clear Bureau of Criminal Identification 和 Investigation (BCII) report 和 a clear Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) report. Forms 和 details will be provided to all students who qualify for admission to the 程序. 一旦注册, students must have the same clear reports prior to any school observation, field experience or clinical practice assignment. Although students with an expunged record may be eligible for enrollment 和 to participate in school placements in BW's Education 程序s, an expunged or sealed record may impact a student's eligibility to qualify for an Ohio teaching license following completion of the 程序. Eligibility for a teaching license varies by state 和 may be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the professional teacher licensing board in that state.
